Every year on April 28 we pay our respects to, and remember, the thousands of workers whose lives have been lost, who have been injured or disabled on the job, or suffer from occupational diseases. We also honour the many families and friends who have been deeply affected by these tragedies. Every worker has the right to return home safe and sound at the end of each work day.
Please light a virtual candle and take a moment of silence to remember those workers who have been killed, injured or suffered illness as a result of work-related incidents: light candle here
Day of Mourning Ceremonies will be held virtually this year for the York Region area.LabourCouncil Website WHERE: YouTube channel Available on Tuesday, April 28th at 11:00 a.m.
