February is Black Heritage Month at OLG. During the month of February, we will be highlighting the accomplishments of Black Canadians through school wide events, with our liturgy, guest speakers and classroom lessons.
As a school community, we recognize the importance of celebrating and learning about the contributions of Black individuals to our society. Black Heritage Month provides us with an opportunity to educate ourselves and our students about the rich history and culture of Black Canadians.
Please note that while Black Heritage Month is officially celebrated in February, at OLG, we strive to incorporate and celebrate the contributions of Black individuals throughout the entire year.
