Carnaval @OLG

Carnaval at OLG begins Monday! We have planned a fun-filled week of theme days and activities to celebrate this festive occasion. The week will begin on Monday, with a “Sports” day, where students are encouraged to wear their favourite sportswear. On that day, students will be treated to a special Canadian treat. Thanks to the CSC for covering the cost of having “la tire” – Canadian Maple Syrup Taffy. On Tuesday, we will have a “Café Français”, where students can dress up in red, white and blue and will be treated to a French café experience. We would like to thank the parent volunteers who will be assisting in making the hot chocolate for the students. Wednesday is “Fun in the Sun” day, where students dress in their favourite beach attire. On Thursday, we will be having our first ever Poutine lunch and “Toque and Scarf” day where students will get to show off their favourite toque and scarfs. We will finish the week with a cozy pyjama day. Throughout the week classes will be participating in daily BINGO and other Carnaval-based activities. Please see calendar below for more details.

We hope that you will encourage your children to participate in the theme days and activities. A special thanks to Madame Venditti for organizing this special event.

Note: Café Français: On Tuesday, students will be invited to the gym to be treated to French café experience. Please note that students will be receiving hot chocolate and a peanut-free croissant. Please click on the following links  for a list of the croissant description and ingredients. Please let the office know if you wish for your child not to participate.
